KPMG in Bahrain is delighted to invite you for a business seminar to gain insights on the revised Operational Risk Management Module published by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
Key Changes
The revised module is aimed at aligning it with the principles and guidance from Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Recent increase in frequency and magnitude of operational risk losses, necessitated the Basel Committee to revise the operational risk principles in October of 2014.
The CBB through a consultative process has revised this module which became effective on 31 December 2019 for Volume 1 and 2 licensees.
Implementation Challenges
The seminar is aimed at bringing together relevant stakeholders to discuss the implementation challenges that will be faced and possible options for addressing these challenges.
Stakeholders at the seminar will also have the opportunity to share ideas on how to extract value from implementation of the revised module. KPMG subject matter experts will also share their insights on how to navigate the implementation process.
